Who we are
Norval Consulting is operated by Philip Norval, a sole trader based in Newcastle upon Tyne (full address available on request), providing energy and decarbonisation consultancy services. For the purposes of UK data protection law, Philip Norval is the data controller.

What information we collect
When you contact us through this website, by email, by phone, or through other channels, we collect the information you choose to share. This usually includes your name, contact details, the organisation you work for, and the content of your message or enquiry.

If we engage associates or subcontractors on a project, we will tell you in advance and they will be bound by appropriate confidentiality arrangements.
How long we keep your information
Enquiry correspondence is kept for up to two years after our last contact, unless we go on to work together.
Records relating to paid client work are kept for at least six years after the engagement ends, to meet HMRC requirements and to allow us to respond to any questions about the work.
Where your information is stored
Your information is stored on systems provided by Wix and Google Workspace, both of which may process data outside the UK. Both companies operate under data protection arrangements that meet UK GDPR requirements for international transfers.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
